Monthly Township Board Meetings are on the 1st Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. (unless that Monday falls on a legal holiday then the meeting is the next day at 6:30 p.m.). 

The canvass of the Early vote and of Election Day for the Presidential Primary Election will be conducted on February 27th, 2024 on or after 8 p.m. at 2320 S. Mission Rd. Mt. Pleasant, MI at the Stadium Mall.

BOR Meeting Notice

Vernon Township Board of Review for 2024 will meet at Vernon Township Hall on the following dates:

  • Organizational Meeting: Monday March 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Regular Public Board of Review: Wednesday, March 11, 2024. From 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Regular Public Board of Review: Thursday, March 14, 2024. From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Property owners may appeal their assessments during the above times. If unable to attend one of these sessions, you may send a letter of appeal. Letters of appeal must be postmarked by March 6, 2024 and mailed to:

New Ballot Drop Box Location

The new Ballot Drop Box from the State of Michigan is located at 10877 N. Lincoln Rd. Clare.  You may drop off your Absent Voter Applications and/or ballots at that location. Vernon Township residents may only use that Ballot Drop Box for their applications/ballots.
