Some Meeting dates


Due to holidays and election days falling on or near the First Monday of the month, the board is changing some dates to the 2nd Monday of the month:

   July 13th (instead of July 6th due to holiday weekend)

   August 10th (instead of the 3rd due to the Primary Election on the 4th)

   September 14th (instead of the 7th due to Labor Day)

   October 5th

   November 9th (instead of the 2nd due to the General Election on the 3rd)

   December 7th.

Public Accuracy Testing for Vernon Township


Notice is Hereby Given that the Public Accuracy Testing for the August 4th, 2026 Primary Election will be:

Monday June 29th, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the

Vernon Township Hall,

4031 E. Stevenson Lake Rd Clare, MI.

The Public Accuracy Testing is conducted to demonstrate that the program and computer that will be used to tabulate the results for the election, counts the votes in the manner prescribed by law.

Vernon Township Board of Review


Vernon Township Board of Review for 2026 will meet at Vernon Township Hall at 4031

E. Stevenson Lake Road on the following dates:

Organizational Meeting: Monday March 2nd, 2026.

Regular Public Board of Review: Wednesday, March 11th, 2026. From 9:00 a.m. to

noon and 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Regular Public Board of Review: Thursday, March 12, 2026. From 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Property owners may appeal their assessments during the above times. If unable to

attend one of these sessions, you may send a letter of appeal. Letters of appeal must

be postmarked by March 2, 2026 and mailed to: Vernon Township Board of Review
